On December 16, 2013, Kenneth Sullivan was sentenced to an indeterminate term of incarceration not to exceed 10 years in Polk County Criminal Number FECR268707 for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Methamphetamine). The Court granted Kenneth Sullivan a suspended sentence and placed him on probation for a period of two years. The defendant was prosecuted by the Polk County Attorney’s Office Drug and Gang Bureau.

Sherry Eder stipulated she violated the terms and conditions of her probation in FE254598. She had been on supervision in Wisconsin and continued to use illegal substances. Although she asked the Court to continue her probation, the Court declined and revoked her deferred judgment and sentenced her to prison for five years.

Carl West pled guilty to Felon in possession of a firearm in FE271056. He is currently on parole and was sentenced to five (5) years in prison on this offense, consecutive to his parole matter.

Richard Dameron pled guilty to Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree in FE269336. He admitted he punched a vehicle causing over $1000 in damage. He will be sentenced in January.

Christopher Moore pled guilty to Attempted Burglary 2nd Degree in FE269265. He admitted he tried to break into someone’s home intending to steal from them. He will be sentenced in January.

Caleb Mumma was stipulated he violated the terms and conditions of his probation by continuing to use illegal substances in FE257236. He argued he should be continued on probation as he voluntarily participated in a residential treatment program. The Court revoked his deferred judgment and entered judgment for theft 1st and Theft 2nd and sentenced him to ten (10) years in prison stating that Defendant was not taking treatment seriously and was only trying to avoid prison by going to treatment.

Lorna Blair’s Deferred Judgment was revoked in FE260214 due to her failing to comply with the conditions of her probation. Specifically, she has failed to pay any restitution to her victim and has failed to have employment. She will continue on probation with the requirement that she participate in the JOBS program and Moving On class through Department of Corrections.

Darryn Mack was granted a Deferred Judgment in FE267519 on the charge of Burglary 3rd Degree. The Court found the Defendant should be afforded the opportunity to keep a felony off his records, notwithstanding his prior performance while on supervision in Juvenile Court. .

On December 19, 2013, Jessica James pled guilty in Polk County Criminal Number FECR269257 to the crimes of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Cocaine) and Neglect of a Dependent Person. Sentencing was set for a later date. The defendant is being prosecuted by the Polk County Attorney’s Office Drug and Gang Bureau.

On December 19, 2013, Tracy Jones pled guilty in Polk County Criminal Number FECR260950 to the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Methamphetamine). Sentencing was set for a later date. The defendant is being prosecuted by the Polk County Attorney’s Office Drug and Gang Bureau.

Jose Ismael Mendoza-Galvez pled guilty to Trespass and Assault in FE270537. He will be on probation for 6 months and abide by a No Contact Order.

Danielle Hill pled guilty to an OWI in OM077272 and Attempted Burglary 3rd Degree in FE269798. She stipulated to violating the terms and conditions of her probation in AG261173. She will stay in jail pending her sentence on January 8, 2014.

On December 19, 2013, Jayron Woods-Crawford came before the court and entered a guilty plea to the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, as alleged in Count I of the Trial Information, in violation of Iowa Code Sections 124.401(1)(d), a Class D Felony. The defendant waived time and notice and requested immediate sentencing. The Court granted him a deferred judgment and probation. This case was prosecuted by the Polk County Attorney’s Office Drug and Gang Bureau.
