American Lung Association (State of the Air 2013 Report)(4/24/2013)
Thanks to the Clean Air Act, the United States continues to make progress providing healthier air. The State of the Air 2013 report looks at levels of ozone and particle pollution found in official monitoring sites across the United States in 2009, 2010, and 2011. The report uses the most current quality-assured nationwide data available for these analyses. Find Polk County, Iowa's results: http://www.stateoftheair.org/2013/states/.
Annual Air Quality Operating Permit Renewals. (10/31/2012)
Starting November 5, 2012, renewal applications and invoices will be mailed for your businesses’ annual Air Quality operating permits. Applications and fees are to be returned to the Public Works Department-Air Quality Division by November 19th, 2012. As a reminder, if your permit requires reporting, please include the documentation with your application submission. For example, materials usage totals for body shops and hour meter readings for diesel fired generators. Download Forms Here: (Form Link).
