Senior Fishing Derby

The Senior Services of Polk County Recreation Committee & Polk County Conservation Board will be hosting a Senior Fishing Derby on Friday, June 7th.

Take Back the Night 2013

Polk County Crisis & Advocacy Services will be hosting their 31st annual Take Back the Night. This year’s theme is New Challenges New Solutions. Please come to the free event which will have information booths, speakers, refreshments, music (provided by Drake University, The Treble Makers), and dedications to victims of crime.

Polk County Senior Fest & Health Fair

Mark your calendar for the Polk County Senior Fest & Health Fair Wednesday May 15, 2013 in the Varied Industries Building at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. This wonderful is event is designed for those 60 years and older. The older adult will enjoy a day full of health screenings, vendor booths, music, nutritious noon meal and other fun activities. To attend, please contact the closest Polk County Sponsored nutrition center for a reservation and additional information. Businesses/Agencies wishing to participate may obtain a letter and a registration form for vendor space.
